Today, Xiaoba is going to talk about something practical—the hot topic in the automotive world recently: EV range! We all know that electric vehicles have developed rapidly in recent years, but the issue of inflated range claims has also been criticized by consumers.

However, recently I noticed a car, the AION RT, and its range performance is quite interesting. Many media peers have conducted real-world tests on this car, and the results show that the AION RT's range achievement rate is generally as high as over 98%, and some even exceed 100%. Overall, this car's range achievement rate steadily exceeds 95%!

Honestly, I, Xiaoba, have been to countless auto shows and test-driven countless cars. To be frank, there are really not many EVs on the market today that can achieve such a high range achievement rate. This reflects not only AION's technical strength but also a responsible attitude toward consumers.

So besides solid range, what other highlights does the AION RT have? Recently, many car enthusiasts have also been asking me how this car really is and whether it is worth buying.

Let's talk about the results first. The AION RT was launched last November, and its sales have been really good. It sold more than 10,000 units in the first month, and directly reached 16,000 in the second month, totaling nearly 30,000 units in two months!

This result is rare among pure electric sedans. Saying it is aiming to be the "first breakout hit of 2025" is not an exaggeration at all.

Let's start with its "face." The AION RT is called by everyone "Big-Eyed Little Pamei," and this nickname is not for nothing. Those "Swift Dragon Eye" headlights are three-dimensional and rounded in shape, paired with "phoenix eye" lines, and there are even "eyelash" and "lying silkworm" designs in the details. The entire front face really has character, no wonder young people like it.

Looking at the side of the body, the "dragon head and swallow tail" character line is very smooth. That 3.48-meter-long Y0 line extends from the roof all the way to the rear, with no inflection point in the middle. This design is not simple.

It not only gives the car an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.208Cd, but also ensures rear headroom, breaking the "impossible triangle" in sedan design where "styling, drag coefficient, and space" are difficult to balance at the same time.

The paint is also worth mentioning; AION RT really spent a lot on it. The three colors Moonlight Beige, Corona Red, and Polar White use triple-thickness natural mica pearlescent pigment, and the gloss is quite good.

The three colors Crystal Purple, Sea Glow Gray, and Night Shadow Black add the same "silver dollar aluminum powder" as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, with delicate texture that can present different colors under different lighting. It feels quite premium.

Good "face" alone is not enough; the "inside" must also keep up. The space in the AION RT is absolutely class-leading. Rear headroom and legroom both exceed 940mm, seat height is 320mm, and hip angle is close to 95°. These figures are larger than those of models in the same class. The seats are filled with dual-layer high-density foam, moderately soft and firm, with good support and wrapping, making them quite comfortable to sit in.

There are also some thoughtful designs, such as the layered instrument panel on the passenger side, which is not only beautiful but also especially practical. When girls do their makeup, those bottles and jars no longer have to worry about having no place to be put.

The rear center armrest is wide and thick, even reaching the level of a C-class car. The two pop-out cup holders securely hold milk tea and coffee of various sizes.

The trunk opening is large and the sill is low, with a capacity of 540L. In actual tests, it can fit six 20-inch and two 24-inch suitcases, or four 24-inch and one 20-inch suitcase. For daily household use or long trips, it is more than enough.

In terms of the intelligent cockpit, the AION RT is equipped with the ADiGO 5.0 system, and the system's response speed is very fast, only 0.28 seconds.

Now let's talk about intelligent driving. The AION RT is equipped with 27 intelligent driving hardware components, the fourth-generation end-to-end large model, and the NVIDIA Orin-X high-computing-power chip. This configuration is absolutely in the first tier among models of the same class.

Urban NDA can handle various complex road conditions. Whether it is urban villages, rural roads, muddy roads, or narrow roads, it can handle them with ease.

Highway NDA also performs excellently, accurately recognizing traffic signs and road information, making driving very worry-free. The automatic parking function supports more than 300 common parking spaces and some extreme parking spaces, and can park in as fast as 22.3 seconds. Novice drivers no longer need to worry about parking difficulties.

I don't need to say much about range, right? I have already emphasized it earlier. This car uses silicon carbide chips, with electronic control efficiency as high as 99.85%, and energy consumption as low as 11.7 kWh per 100 kilometers. The 650km ultra-long range is quite outstanding in its class, and very reliable. Charging speed is also fast: from 30% to 80% takes only 18 minutes, faster than most pure electric cars.

In terms of safety, the AION RT meets the China-EU dual five-star safety standards. The body uses a large amount of high-strength steel-aluminum alloy and hot-formed steel, is equipped with up to 6 airbags, and has a rear V-shaped side air curtain unique to its class, providing very good protection for passengers.

In terms of battery safety, the AION RT is equipped with Magazine Battery 2.0 technology, which the official claims will not catch fire even when shot. This safety is still reassuring.

Finally, let's talk about price and benefits. The AION RT's price range is 119,800 to 165,800 yuan. The current car purchase policy is quite attractive. In January, buying an AION comes with a "trade-in" fallback guarantee: for trade-in customers who purchase an AION brand model within January 2025, if the location of the purchase invoice has not introduced a local trade-in subsidy before April 30, 2025 (inclusive), cash subsidies will be provided according to the local government's 2024 trade-in subsidy standard for the location of the purchase invoice, equivalent to a subsidy of up to 15,000 yuan!

The AION RT also has a limited-time insurance subsidy of 3,000 yuan. Now you can get the "Big-Eyed Little Pamei" for just over 100,000 yuan, and for 130,000 yuan you can buy the lidar high-level intelligent driving version. Areas not covered by national subsidies can also enjoy the same discount. Calculated this way, the cost-performance ratio is still quite high.

Overall, the AION RT has good looks, spacious room, rich equipment, excellent intelligent driving, and especially truly solid range that really has few rivals in its class. Safety is also high, and with a good price and strong policies, no wonder it sells so well.
